Be Mine

I don't think I'm a mushy type person.
In fact I hate when people post mushy, lovey crap on Facebook.
I just feel like what you and your significant other have is personal.
You don't need to tell everyone how in love you are and how lucky you are to have found the "one". You should be living that way and showing and telling who your with those things...the rest of us don't need to hear it.
Now with that said lets talk about Valentines.
Haha!
Scott and I started a new tradition this year that instead of doing all the typical Valentiney things like presents, Hallmark cards, and expensive restaurants, we are going to make each other Valentine cards with our own written poems or reasons why love each other, then stay in for a special dinner of a homemade meal or take out.
I thought it was pretty funny that both of us made cards with kitties on them for each other.
Scott said he put his kitty on because he thought it looked like it had down syndrome.
He's so romantic! :-)
All in all, this was the best Valentines, because I got a love letter from my husband!

Oh and flowers...those aren't required, but they do make  me feel special! :-)

Sundance

In case you haven't heard, Scott and I love movies!
Going to Sundance is one of our favorite (very tiring) traditions we have every January.
Some of our all time favorite films have been from Sundance, so we are always looking forward to what we'll see.
Here are some pics and films we saw:

First night Sundancing we saw Red Lights with Cillian Murphy, Sigorney Weaver, Robert DeNiro, & Elisabeth Olsen.
Scott wasn't a fan of the end, but I loved it!
Waiting for the film to start
Q&A after the film with:
Cillian Murphy, Elisbeth Olsen, & Sigorny Weaver
Scott has a big crush on miss Lizzy Olsen

Next Film was a documentary called Room 237
It was a documentary about the Shining. Meh! It was interesting because the movie was cool, but I was wanting more hard facts from people that actually worked on the film and not just random opinions of what they thought the significance behind the film was.

Another documentary called Imposter. This film was weird and interesting!
It was a bout a boy who was kidnapped from Texas and appeared 3 years later in Spain.
I recommend it just because it's a weird situation that really happened.
This kitty lived at the store...Scott always seems to find cats wherever he goes!

Usually Scott and I have really good luck with the Park City at midnight films so we're always sure to fit one in.
This year we saw Grabbers.
It was a funny throw back to old monster scary movies.
We enjoyed it, but it wasn't up there was some of the past midnight films we've seen.
(Dale & Tucker vs. Evil, Dead Snow)
Still funny and worth a see though.

Our most favorite thing we did was go to Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Hit Record.
It was him talking about his independent project he has to get indy film makers, writers, singers, bands, artists, ect out there. Plus he showed some of the work from this website.
We were second row and got some great footage!
Seriously this boy is so darn cute!
Parker Posy stopped by and gave some input

JGL ended with singing a couple songs for us.
Baby Mine from Dumbo (so so cute)
Hey Jude. I recorded this song, but I'm struggling on getting it to upload to my blog. I will post it as soon as I figure out how to!

Until next time Sundance!
(Ps-some of the pics look blurry, but if you click on them you can see them clearer)
