I'm sure most of you have heard me mention it one time or another, but I've always wanted to get a tattoo! Scott thinks sleeves on girls are sexy, so I know he would be cool with it.
I even have it all planned out. I only want the sleeve from my shoulder to my elbow with stars and a peacock. Kinda like these images, but somehow intertwined with bold colors (especially purple)! It would be so sexy awesome!! The sad thing is I realize I can never have this being a member of the LDS church and the rule of treating my body like a temple, which I agree with for the most part. I've even thought about the repercussions of having it as a mom or grandma cause it could look pretty saggy when I'm old and I wouldn't be setting a good example for the kiddies,
but seriously what a bad A mom/grandma I would be with my super awesome tats! I know all the reasons why I shouldn't, but I also just can't help but want it! Plus with it only to my elbow I could wear a small sweater if I need to cover it at any time. Now if only I could get the church to pass off on this! I always kick myself for not getting one when I wasn't an active member of the church cause then I could have chalked it up to my wild days, but alas, I didn't want to disappoint

Gurl - I'm part of this secret desire of tattoo getting. I always wanted a little cat... its paws starting on my right shoulder and walking to some obsecure part of my back where the cat decided it wanted to be, licking it's paw. Eh? Or a paw behind my ear. OR! A sleeve. I think sleeves are sexy too. I also want a nose stud. We bad... as in awesome.

ReplyDeleteI am going to give you two the #1 reason as to why one should never get a PERMANENT tattoo...
Because people's tastes and styles are always evolving! If I got a tattoo of whatever inspired when I was 19 I would have a tat of an alexander calder mobile on my BACK!!!! And If I got one now I would probably have some native american band around my arm....
just sayin... ;-p
Just get the one's that last like 6 months or something! :-[)
I totally agree with Roxy! Just get a non-permanent tatoo. That's okay with the church, right?
ReplyDeleteI love tattoos! I have 3 and they are all very meaningful. I've wanted what I have since a very young age! The whole point of getting a tattoo is so that it means something to you, or represents who you are, unless you just find art beautiful like me! That peacock is beautiful Im actually putting together my 3/4 sleeve idea which is a peacock and hibiscus flowers and I googled some different types of peacocks and your blog popped up! I say go for it!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 swallows in my chest, one is a red devil and the other one a blue angel. Its a beautiful tattoo, but I would've never done it if I still lived with my parents, which I guess you do, otherwise, you really have no reason for not having it done :) My dad still doesn't know I have it, I did it last month, but I'm a married independent 27 yrs old woman, so I don't have to ask for his consent/approval anymore. Sleeves are so sexy, I'm gathering some ideas too, but I want the peacock for my back (sitting on a cherry blossom branch), and from elbow to wrist a koi pond with some lotus flowers.

I am getting my peacock tattoo in march and am super excited about. I think you should do it, tattoos are an amzaing thing... and super HOT!
